Dory wanted a certain amount of seashells for her birthday, so Nemo went to Helena (The psychic)'s sea shell shop, which had exactly five times the number of seashells Dory wanted for her birthday. However, when Nemo went to the shop, he found that he didn't have as much money, and bought one less, and Dory was sad. To make Dory happy again, Marilyn wanted to buy the certain number of shells that Dory wanted, but found that he didn't have as much money, so he ended up giving Dory the same amount of seashells that Nemo did as well. After the end of the day, Helena the psychic, counted the amount of seashells she had in her shop, and it was 8 more than the amount of sea shells that Dory wanted.
So then there are so many characters...There are 4 characters, which makes the problem confusing. The word problem is functional to the equation; However it takes a long time to understand. It's not boring, and it's creative. Maybe you can make this more simple by not describing Helena as the physic, but just Helena.
